Rose Park UMC located at 318 Shelby Road (Route 662), Wolftown, VA is a friendly and welcoming community of faith, set in the beautiful, mountainous countryside of Wolftown, VA. First established in 1885 on land donated by Captain and Mrs. William A. Rose. Rose Park continues to witness to a sincere Christian faith through weekly worship, generous volunteerism in community and missions, and a heartfelt investment in the faith development of its children and youth. The worship at Rose Park is traditional, yet innovative, with an openness to blended music. Rose Park nurtures congregational fellowship through such events as monthly socials and its annual Homecoming, and its annual Christmas Pageant, a favorite in the Wolftown community, goes back over 75 years. Church family and friends, on January 25 our beautiful little sanctuary was hit by an arsonist. The sanctuary sustained substantial damage.
We are thankful no one was hurt. We are thankful for Madison, Ruckersville, Stanardsville and Orange Volunteer Fire Departments and their quick response.
